My Music Workshop introduces music to our young children with the goal of sparking an interest that will last a lifetime. My Music Workshop comes each Monday eager to engage, entertain, and educate students with a specially designed curriculum tailored to the varied needs of our Baldwin Academy students. Each class includes a portion where children hear original children’s songs, learn about music and play a variety of instruments. Students, depending on age level, learn musical concepts such as introductory piano theory, the basic notes, rhythms and drums, fundamentals of playing different instruments, singing, music theory, music terminology, and much more. Research has shown that music instruction helps children with coordination, concentration, and cognitive development in addition to just being fun!
